second life
Built for Frontier Cascadia 2026

Things deserve a second life.

Take a picture before you throw something away. Second Life shows whether you can fix it, give it away, recycle it, or turn it into something new.

How it works

One old thing. Three useful futures.

01 / SHOW IT

Take a picture

Photograph the thing you were about to throw away.

02 / DISCOVER

See its options

Second Life identifies it and suggests realistic ways to save it.

03 / ACT

Choose a future

Get short, useful instructions and keep one more object out of waste.

Why this matters

Throwing something away should not be the easiest answer.

Reuse advice is scattered, overly technical, and different for every object. Second Life makes the decision understandable enough for anyone, including a child.

Our hackathon entry

Frontier Cascadia

We are entering Second Life as a working AI for Good prototype. The project combines a simple camera-first experience with a problem everyone understands: useful objects becoming waste too soon.
